No matter what time of the year you visit Sydney there is always plenty to do. After visiting Sydney twice, we are amazed by how diverse the city is and the number of things you can see and do in such a short space of time!
If you’ve booked your trip to Sydney, below are 10 things to consider in your itinerary:
- Swim at Bondi Icebergs
The stunningly famous pool on Bondi beach is just $8 to gain admission to the pool and sauna. Enjoy swimming lengths or relaxing in the calm waters whilst watching the waves crash against the poolside.
2. Walk on the Bondi to Bronte Coastal Walk
This is one of our favourite walks EVER! The views are incredible and the fitness vibe along the walk gets you motivated! When you finish up you can grab a bite to eat and a cold drink at one of the cute cafes at Bronte.
See our coastal walk blog for more details:
3. Have a sunset drink on the harbour front
Grab yourself a drink at the Opera Bar and take in THAT VIEW! For most, this view is the face of Sydney.
4. Visit Taronga Zoo
The zoo with a view! Hop on the 10-minute ferry ride from Circular Quay to Taronga Zoo. The sky safari and tiger trek are ‘must do’s’!
5. Sit on the Opera house steps and watch the light show
Every night the Opera House has an impressive mini light show. You will find the audience gathers on the Opera House steps and an incredible atmosphere is created whilst aboriginal art is projected.
6. Take the whale watching tour
Take the extraordinary opportunity to see whales in their natural habitat. Jump on a Captin Cook tour from Circular Quay and spend 3 hours cruising out at sea. NOTE: Our trip was rough and seasickness hit hard, make sure you have travel sickness tablets to hand!
7. Watch a concert at the Opera house
The Opera house hosts more than just operas – you can watch Broadway-shows, gigs, contemporary concerts, etc…
8. Take the ferry to Manly
Just a 20-minute ferry ride from Circular Quay you can escape the CBD rush and spend some time relaxing on the beach. We would recommend catching the ferry back early evening so you can catch the sunset over the Harbour Bridge and Opera House.
9. Walk down George Street & Pitt Street
Get a feel for the beat of the city with a browse in the souvenir shops and nosey at the 5* hotels.
10. Visit Darling Harbour
10 minutes walk from the CBD Darling Harbour is a great waterside precinct with plenty to do. Visit the aquarium or enjoy the famous American style ribs at Hurricanes Grill.
Thank you for yet another unforgettable trip! ↓
